CAIRO, Sept 25 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt will end its summer daylight saving time (DST) on Thursday at midnight, moving the clock one hour backward, according to a cabinet decision.

DST was abolished three years earlier, following the January uprising, but the government put it into effect again on May 15 in order to reduce electricity consumption across the country.

Egypt has an energy crisis, which led officials to force frequent power cuts in order to ease the load on electricity consumption.
