Egypt's market indicators collectively slumped during the week

CAIRO, Nov. 27 (Aswat Masriya) - Egypt’s benchmark and secondary market indicators collectively retreated last week where the main index EGX 30 dropped by 2.15 percent to reach 6427.82 points.

The Egyptian stock exchange's weekly report published Friday also showed a drop in the index for small and medium enterprises EGX 70 by 1.6 percent to reach 350 points.

The overall decline included the broader EGX 100 which slumped by 3.21 percent to reach 745 points where EGX 20 decreased by 2.49 percent to reach 6291 points.

The report further showed that Egypt’s bourse suffered losses of up to EGP 7.53 billion where the market capitalization of listed companies reached EGP 415.59 billion compared to EGP 423.12 billion the week before, marking a decrease of 1.8 percent.
