- Applause reigned over courtroom.

- Judge ruled that the statute in a criminal actions case of Hussein Salem giving Mubarak and his two sons five villas in Sharm al-Sheikhg expired. The court therefore cannot punish them for the crime.

- Judge acquitted Mubarak in crime of exporting gas to Israel.

- Judge acquitted Adly and six aides of misdemeanour of harming their work-place.

- Judge acquitted Adly and four aides in crime of inciting and aiding the murder of protesters.

- Judge prepared the attendants for the soon to be issued verdict.

- Judge said 1588 were injured during the uprising.

- Judge said he also clarified the number of those injured during the uprising (until January 31, 2011) and died later due to their wounds; 36.

- Mubarak's lawyer Farid al-Deeb arrived in court.

- The North Cairo Prosecution bench arrived to court to rule on former President Hosni Mubarak over complicity in the killing of protesters during the January 2011 uprising which toppled him. The bench is headed by judge Mahmoud al-Rashidi.

- Former President Hosni Mubarak arrived in court.

- Mubarak's two sons, Alaa and Gamal Mubarak, arrived in court as well as former Interior Minister Habib al-Adly. All are also being tried in the same case.

- Tens of Mubarak supporters gathered outside the Police Academy, where the trial is being held. 

- Families of protesters killed during the January 2011 uprising were not seen outside the Police Academy.

The former president is being tried alongside his interior minister and six of his aides on charges of killing protesters during the 18-day January 2011 uprising which toppled his regime. The defendants are also being tried over inciting violence and creating a security vacuum during the early days of the uprising.

Mubarak, his two sons and an Egyptian businessman, Hussein Salem, are also being tried at the same court on corruption charges related to the export of gas to Israel. Salem is tried in absentia.

Mubarak and his interior minister were sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for the same charges before an appeals court ordered their retrial. The retrial began in April, 2013.

In May, a Cairo court sentenced Mubarak to three years in prison on embezzlement charges, while his two sons were sentenced to four years in prison for the same charges.

He is serving time in a military hospital in Cairo.
