Egypt's most prominent opposition coalition, the National Salvation Front, said on Wednesday that it will push for a "no" vote in Saturday's referendum on a draft constitution written by an Islamist-dominated assembly.
Ex-presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabahi, who is a senior member of the coalition, listed the Front's conditions for participation in a press conference:
. Complete judicial monitoring
. Comprehensive security
. Local and regional supervision by non-governmental organizations
. Announcement of results immediately following end of vote
. Concluding the process in one day
The Front insisted that it will carry on all its efforts to topple the controversial draft constitution, adding that this is not the last battle and that the struggle will continue until the goals of the revolution are met.
The group includes Nobel Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei and former Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa.
