Nobel Laureate and prominent opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei criticized Egypt’s administration on his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

“Over 500 injured in one day. Regime seems to be in a coma,” the former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency posted.

In another Tweet in Arabic, ElBaradei wondered, “Violence is escalating everywhere with around 500 injured in one day without any attempts by the regime for dialogue. Is there still a president and government?”

On a different subject, he congratulated university students for their efforts in student union elections, insisting, “Your strength is in your unity.”
