Egypt's benchmark index declined by 1.2 pct

CAIRO, Feb 7 (Aswat Masriya) – The Egyptian stock market's benchmark index EGX 30 retreated by 1.2 per cent on Sunday reaching 6,126 points, down from 6,202.

Meanwhile, the secondary indices inched up, with EGX 70 for small and medium enterprises rising by 0.8 per cent and the broader EGX 100 index by 0.1 per cent.

The performance of market indices varied as well during the past week as the main index EGX 30 hiked by 3.6 per cent, while EGX 70 and EGX 100 declined by 1.8 and 0.88 per cent, respectively.
