CAIRO, Sept 19 (Aswat Masriya) - Unidentified gunmen killed an Egyptian national late Thursday in a sewing shop where he was working in al-Berka area of Benghazi, state-run MENA agency reported.

The body search management team of the Libyan Red Crescent received a call regarding the assassination of an Egyptian man inside a sewing shop in Benghazi's al-Berka area, MENA quoted Libyan Red Crescent representative Qais al-Fakhry.

The victim was transported to the Benghazi Medical Centre in order to take the necessary measures towards the situation, al-Fakhry added.

Several Egyptians had been killed and kidnapped during the unrest in Libya. Most of the Egyptian nationals working there have been evacuated from the conflict-torn country.

Flights to and from Tripoli stopped on July 13, following the worst wave of violence in Libya since the overthrow of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi in 2011.
